Casanostra vs Casanova in Lisbon


Restaurant Casanostra. It was on the 1st of April of 1986 that opened in Lisbon, the Italian restaurant Casanostra. A project of Maria Paola Porru, an Italian who arrived in Portugal before April 25, 1974, and taken by taste and longing to make known the true cuisine of his childhood, fell in this gastronomic adventure. With selected products and coming directly from Italy, this restaurant offers guests an authentic cuisine.

Pizzeria Casanova. In the April 25, 2000 Maria Paola Porru opened at Cais da Pedra, next to the station of Sta Apolonia, a pizzeria called Casanova. With two wood stoves and products coming directly from Caserta - Naples, are the essential elements for the making of the true pizza. With canteen type tables, a lounge and a terrace near the river, the customer can enjoy the scenery or even observe the pizza makers working the pizza.

Restaurant in the village of Brufe
The building is located outside the village of Brufe, on land that is developed in terraces on the valley of the River Man. The coverage remains the natural platform to share the road, especially if only the volume with the service entrance, a contrast to the existing rock outcrops. On the ledge below it is the main entrance to the restaurant - with service areas to rest against the ground and be open to the landscape. The orientation and fit the topography seek integration into the ground, which is confirmed in the range of materials: granite [on the walls] and wood - which is not part of the glazed west elevation and extending horizontally on the platform of the terrace. The mouthful is a restaurant that value the local raw materials - goats and veal, which feed freely through the fields and hillsides of Brufe.
